On September 8, 2020, the National Commendation Conference on COVID-19 was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The meeting honored the advanced individual, advanced collective, national outstanding Communist Party members and national advanced grass-root Party organizations in the fight against COVID-19. The Party committee of Touqiao Town in Guangling District was awarded the "National Advanced Collective in Combating COVID-19 Epidemics", which is the only unit in Yangzhou to be awarded.
